Ep 45 w/ Matisyahu

September 28, 2011 @ 11:48 am

Matisyahu is one of the most unique artists in the music world, combining soothing vocal melodies with thought provoking rap lyrics and innovative beat boxing all with an added sense of cultural flair that stems from his Hasidic Judaism.  Matis joins me to talk about his rise to success, when he decided to fully embrace religion in his life and how that changed his career ambitions. We talk about his acting ability, something very few people know about, as well as what his Bar Mitzvah was like and what he thinks about HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. Check it out!

Ep 43 w/ Actor/Comedian BRYAN CALLEN

September 14, 2011 @ 9:34 am

Bryan Callen is all over the place. He’s in Gillette commercials, he has two different roles in the two Hangover movies, he is the star of MTV’s newest hit show DEATH VALLEY, and is one of the funniest stand-up comedians in the country with an upcoming special on Showtime. Bryan also plays one of the MMA commentators in my favorite movie of the year so far, Warrior, a role he based on his real-life best friend, UFC’s Joe Rogan. Bryan is a frequent guest on Joe Rogan’s fantastic podcast and Bryan was kind enough to drop by MY show to discuss Warrior, how he helped make the movie happen, podcasts, whether he would ever consider doing real MMA commentary and a whole lot more! Follow Bryan on twitter @BryanCallen and check out his website www.BryanCallen.com

Ep 42 w/ Comedian Andrew Dice Clay

September 12, 2011 @ 12:59 pm

Andrew Dice Clay is one of the most famous comedians in the world. Anyone who remembers the golden age of comedy during the late 80’s remembers when Dice first hit the scene with his quick witted nursery rhymes containing a special dose of sexuality and vulgarity to go with his Brooklyn, NY mentalities. Although Dice’s material was scene by some as offensive, racist or sexist, for the most part he took the country by storm as a fresh new act who used shock value the same way a great chef uses spices. Dice was quickly selling out venues all across the country and was the first comedian to EVER sell out Madison Square Garden two nights in a row.

A much younger audience has just been introduced to the legendary comedian as Dice showed up on HBO’s series Entourage this summer for what is the show’s final season on television. Dice joins me to talk about how his role on Entourage has revitalized his career, how he is coming to terms with social networking, what we can expect from his show at Foxwoods on much more!
