Ep 50 w/ PLAYBOY Covergirl and Boxing Expert JESSA HINTON

November 17, 2011 @ 1:23 pm

Jessa Hinton graced the cover of Playboy as Miss July earlier this year and is one of the favorites to be selected as the next Playboy Playmate of the Year. Do not however think that this is all she has to offer. Jessa is also a fantastic TV personality, acting as the host for ESPN's Top Rank Boxing, Victory Poker and other programs where she uses both her good looks and knowledge of sports to produce thought-provoking interviews and get info from her subjects that they might keep a little closer to the vest while talking to the typical suited gentleman. After spending the past few weeks talking to everyone involved in last week's controversial Pacquiao v Marquez fight Jessa has a lot to share about what she learned from her chats with the fighters and trainers and what her overall reaction was to the fight's outcome

Jessa also trains at Randy Couture's gym and is a big MMA fan as well. We chat about the battle taking place between the two sports for the top of the combat sports mountain and which she thinks is winning right now coming off of the big weekend for both sports. Jessa tells me what it would mean to be selected as Playmate of the year, what that entails, how you can vote, what she thinks of Lindsay Lohan appearing in the magazine and a whole lot more! This is an interview you do not want to miss as Jessa is not only the hottest guest I have ever had on the program but literally one of the most knowledgable minds in the world of combat sports and particularly boxing that we have ever had on the show, which as you know...says a lot cause we love to talk fights! Court attended the UFC on FOX shows last weekend and we talk about about that before ultimately discussing how the WWE managed to screw up the CM Punk stuff, The Rock stuff, their appalling infatuation with twitter and a whole lot more! Ep 48 w/ Amy Lee of EVANESCENCE

November 8, 2011 @ 12:30 pm

Amy Lee is considered by many to be the female voice of rock music and has been since she and her band were declared “Best New Artist” at the Grammy’s in 2004. Hard rock is not typically a scene that is dominated by women, however Amy has managed to succeed by combining her extremely captivating and melodic voice with passionate lyrics which she writes as well. With a carousel of supporting band-members constantly changing, Amy remains the one constant from Evanescence’s first work, including their worldwide hit “Bring Me To Life” which between commercials, sports montages, pro wrestling and the movie Daredevil, was absolutely unavoidable in that 2003-2005 period and the 2011 version of the band that we see today. Amy was nice enough to drop by to discuss the new album titled “Evanescence”, what it’s like to represent women in the male-dominated genre of hard rock music, who her favorite artists are and a whole lot more!

BONUS INTERVIEW w/ Wrestling Legend Jerry “The King” Lawler

November 6, 2011 @ 12:42 pm

Jerry Lawler is one of the most well known wrestling personalities of all time with a career that spans decades. He was one of the biggest stars in the Memphis wrestling circuit in the 70's and 80's and made headlines by beating the crap out of comedian Andy Kaufman, an incident that was immortalized in the film Man On the Moon. This is all before he came over to WWE and had a classic feud with Bret "Hitman" Hart all before settling in as the voice of the WWE on commentary for the last decade and a half. I got a chance to talk to Jerry about how long he sees himself getting in the ring, his feud and matches with The Miz earlier this year, what he thinks about UFC and some stories about good ol' Stamford CT. A SHORT AND SWEET interview you don't want to miss!

November 4, 2011 @ 11:06 am

Although Jake is coming off of the first back-to-back losses of his career, losing to both St. Pierre and Jake Ellenberger this September in New Orleans just days after the tragic passing of his father and manager Jack Shields, Jake is hungrier than ever, back in the gym training hard for whoever will be his next opponent.
